Black’s Peaches

Black’s Peaches is a family owned farm located in York SC that offers pick your own strawberries in May and pick your own peaches June 1 - September 1. It is right next to Windy Hill which is our favorite place to go apple picking in the fall! Our friends at CLT.Remedy posted about Black’s on their Instagram and it looked so fun we had to check it out for ourselves. Before you head to the farm make sure to call and confirm there is fruit to pick, the website states pick your own is based on availability. It costs $10 to pick a peck of peaches which is more than enough for two people. When you arrive at the farm you pay for your peaches and follow one of their vehicles out to the pick your own field. The field is huge and it is really easy to distance yourself from other people. We filled our box pretty quickly and headed back to the main parking area to check out their market. They sell fresh vegetables, ice cream, candy, and even serve lunch Tuesday-Saturday from 11 am - 2 pm.

We went with two of our best friends, Adrian and Charity, and decided to make peach pizzas (inspired by the peach pizza that Maddio’s serves) and peach cobbler for dinner at their house. Our pizzas had olive oil, mozzarella cheese, feta cheese, caramelized onions, peaches, fresh basil, and balsamic reduction on top. Adrian made the cobbler from an Allrecipes recipe which I’ll link below. It all turned out incredible, we were so full and so happy at the end of the night. We still have tons of peaches leftover so we will be distributing some to friends and snacking on the rest. This is one of my favorite activities we have done all summer!
